Policy
Privacy Policy
Same Era, Different Worlds (the "Site") treats visitors' personal information with care. This policy explains what information the Site collects, how it is used, and what choices visitors have. The Site has no sign-up or login, and the only place a user enters a name, email address, or the like is when sending mail from the contact page.
1. Information collected
The Site may collect the following information automatically or through a visitor's actions.
- Access logs — the time of the visit, the pages viewed, the country of access, the type of browser, and other information recorded as standard by the hosting and security provider (Cloudflare).
- Cookies and similar technologies — the cookies described in section 3 below may be used to serve and measure advertising.
- Information you provide when contacting us — if you write by email, the sending address and the content of your message are stored. This information is used only to respond to your inquiry.
The Site does not require registration and does not collect sensitive personal information such as legal names, national identification numbers, or payment details.
2. Purposes of use
- Understanding how the Site is used and improving the service
- Detecting and responding to abuse and security threats
- Serving personalized advertising (where Google AdSense is used)
- Replying to inquiries
3. Cookies and Google AdSense
The Site uses, or intends to use, Google AdSense to serve advertising. Google and other third-party advertising providers may use cookies to show visitors personalized advertising based on their prior browsing history.
- Google uses advertising cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on a visitor's history on this and other sites.
- Visitors can turn off personalized advertising at Google Ad Settings.
- You can also opt out of personalized advertising from multiple providers at once at aboutads.info.
- Further detail on how Google uses cookies in advertising is available in the Google advertising policies.
Most browsers are set to accept cookies automatically, but you can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings. Note that refusing cookies may prevent some features from working properly.
4. Disclosure to third parties
The Site may share users' personal information with service providers such as Google for advertising and analytics purposes, and does not sell or provide it to third parties for any other purpose. Except where required by law, it is not provided to investigative authorities or others at their discretion.
5. Retention period
Access logs are deleted automatically after a set period in accordance with the policies of the hosting and security provider. Inquiry emails are deleted within a reasonable period after the inquiry has been handled, and are retained for the required period where the law obliges us to keep them.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information at any time. Send your request by email and we will verify it and act promptly.
7. Changes to this policy
This privacy policy may be revised in line with changes in applicable law or in the service, and any change will be announced on this page.
8. Contact
